Who we are. Happener (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an event design and production studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or work with us.

1) Scope

This policy covers personal data processed through our website, contact forms, email, proposals/RFPs, newsletters, and project delivery. It does not cover third-party websites or platforms we don’t control.

2) Data we collect

  • Contact & identity: name, employer, role, email, phone.

  • Business information: project brief, budget ranges, timelines, venue details, vendor preferences.

  • Communications: emails, meeting notes, call/meeting recordings if explicitly agreed.

  • Usage & device data: pages viewed, session data, approximate location, device/browser identifiers, cookies.

  • Media (project work): photos/video taken or supplied for production or documentation, handled per contract and consent.

  • Payments: we do not store full card details; our payment providers process those directly.

3) How we use data

  • To respond and provide services: evaluate RFPs, prepare proposals, deliver projects, invoice, and provide support.

  • To improve the site and services: analytics, troubleshooting, quality assurance.

  • To communicate: service updates, administrative messages, and—if you opt in—newsletters or invites.

  • To protect rights and comply with law: fraud prevention, legal requests, and contractual enforcement.

Legal bases (where applicable): performance of a contract; legitimate interests (e.g., service improvement, security); consent (e.g., marketing, optional recordings); legal obligations.

4) Cookies & analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, performance, and analytics. You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies; some features may not work without them.

5) Sharing & disclosure

We share personal data only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers: hosting, email, analytics, production vendors, couriers, payment processors—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.

  • Legal & safety: compliance with laws or lawful requests, or to protect rights, users, or the public.

  • Business changes: merger, acquisition, or reorganization (your data remains protected under this policy or a successor policy).

We do not sell personal data.

6) International transfers

Our providers may operate in multiple countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (e.g., contractual protections). By using our services, you acknowledge such transfers.

7) Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal/accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize it.

8) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; withdraw consent; and port your data. You can also lodge a complaint with your local authority.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method is 100% secure; please share information thoughtfully.

10) Minors

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us to remove it.

11) Third-party links
